How to choose corrugated flute
Match E, B, C, or BC to print, crush, and channel—not a one-size board.
Answer first
Pick flute by the job: E and B for finer print and lighter parcels; C for everyday stacking; BC (double-wall) when weight and stack height demand it. Longae aligns flute to your channel after the brief—we do not push one board for every SKU.
Common profiles
- E-flute — thinner, smoother print, compact mailers
- B-flute — strong everyday shipper / mailer balance
- C-flute — cushioning and stack for many RSC jobs
- BC — double-wall for heavier / taller stacks
Decision cues
Bring product weight, stack height, print quality needs, and parcel vs pallet. Without those, “stronger board” is a guess. See also heavy-duty corrugated and mailers.
What we lock in the proposal
Flute + wall, print method, and whether a sample drop/stack check is needed before bulk.
FAQ
Quick answers
Can I mix flutes in one PO?
Yes—different SKUs often need different flutes; we coordinate per line.
Is double-wall always safer?
Only when load data says so—over-spec wastes cost and DIM.
Does flute affect print?
Yes—finer flutes generally print cleaner; confirm method early.
